About

Aimee is an Australian artist working with the 1850s wet plate collodion process, hand-pouring chemistry onto blackened aluminium and glass to create one-of-a-kind tintypes and ambrotypes. Her portraiture sits within tattoo culture through a shared appreciation for slowing down, intentional craftsmanship, and creating permanent, one-of-a-kind works. Through this slow, hands-on process, Aimee creates enduring images that honour the people who wear their stories, both on their skin and within themselves.
